Land acknowledgement

This acknowledgement offers recognition and respect; it is made in the spirit of improving relationships with Indigenous communities.

The artist wishes to acknowledge the ancestors of the land where she lives and works, and to pay her respects to members of the original Eastern Woodland nations who live here to this day: Mohawk, Haudenosaunee, St. Lawrence Iroquoians, Huron-Wendat, Omamiwininiwak (Algonquin), Anishinabewaki, Canarsie, Wappinger, and Lenape.

This acknowledgment is shared here to inspire ongoing positive action, peaceful exchange and learning.
